Now that’s what I call brand wokeness…Reports suggests Spotify is the new cool platform for brands (agencies have been doing this for ten years), playlists are all the rage. As a marketer and an eclectic music fan this does make sense, however, when the trend is to jump ship and push to another platform are we not providing Spotify etc a licence to charge for brand profiles and build another rented ground? Have we not learnt much from Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn model of get them in and charge for pay to play?
